From 1991 to 1994, Shawn spent most weekends and summers in Spring Hill alongside his older brother, Darryl, who worked at High Ridge Farms. The two of them put in honest days — cleaning stalls, mowing pastures, walking horses out to graze, mending fence, and cutting trees back off the line.
It was the kind of work that doesn't leave you. Long hours in the Tennessee sun, the smell of cut hay, and a job list that never quite finished. By the time Shawn was a teenager, he'd already learned what it meant to show up early, work until it was done, and take care of a property like it was your own.
That's a big part of why Spring Hill still feels familiar to us — and why we take Spring Hill jobs personally. The town has grown a lot since the early '90s, but the land work hasn't changed much, and neither has the way we approach it.
